Atiende comuna de Tlaxcala derribo parcial de fuente ubicada en San José

The Direction of Municipal Public Services of the city council of Tlaxcala, attended the partial demolition that registered to the half day of this Wednesday, of the source located behind the parish of San Jose, which could have been caused by a non visible fracture originated by the earthquake occurred since September 19, 2017.

Faced with this situation, personnel of the Directorate went to the area to take the corresponding precautionary measures, in order to rule out any risk, although the area is cordoned off, while Civil Protection staff already makes other assessments.

In fact, the municipal president of Tlaxcala, Anabell Ávalos Zempoalteca, accompanied by the trustee, Héctor Martínez García and the councilor Gabriela Esperanza Brito Jiménez, supervised the source where they were informed of the probable causes of the fracture.

The mayor contacted the delegate of the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH), Eduardo Emilio Velázquez Gallegos (mobilepackages), to inform him of what happened and take the necessary actions, but reiterated that his proposal is to replace it to ensure the safety of citizens.

The affectation to the source consists of the demolition of half moon of the first level, which succumbed possibly by an internal fracture that hardly could be identified, although in these moments a revision is already made to determine if the rest of the structure has other affectations .

Ávalos Zempoalteca informed that he will wait to know the point of view of the INAH to determine the steps to be followed, but insisted that the most convenient thing is to replace it, because it can hardly be repaired and, most importantly, it is to guarantee the integrity and safety of the citizens.
